Early Autumn (September/October) 2014 KFB > Traina's Sour Sugar Coated Bing Cherries
A wholesome, naturally healthy food, Traina's Sweet Bing Cherries dusted with Sour Sugar provide natural fiber in addition to potassium and vitamin A. We don't know whose idea it was to dust these dried Bing Cherries with sour sugar, we just know it was nothing short of genius! Enjoy these as a snack straight out of the bag, or use them in place of craisins and raisins in your salads and baking for a tart and sweet surprise! Traina Foods' California sun dried products start with carefully selected naturally ripened fruits and tomatoes grown in California's San Joaquin Valley. The raw product is washed, sorted, cut and placed on redwood trays to dry naturally under the California sun. The result is a brilliant colored, intensely flavored ingredient. Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California Traina's sundried fruit is certified kosher by Sunrise Kosher, Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California. Traina Foods has been around for 86 years, but these cherries are so new to the gourmet market that they are currently only available on line here: trainafoods.com/shop/fruit-snack-bags
